Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’Matthew 4:7
Jesus knew better than to put the Lord God to the test. When Jesus was tempted by the devil to put himself in harm’s way so that God would save him, his response was clear: “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
We too should have the same response when we are tempted to go somewhere or do something we know will put us at risk physically, and or spiritually. We shouldn’t be willing to test God to see if He will save us from our own choices.
We should make wise choices knowing He would approve, rather than testing His willingness to save us in spite of ourselves. We must remember that we are His children, He does love us, but He wants us to choose the right path.
