If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.
The royal law, the law of our King… Loving others, as we love ourselves is that law. At the heart of all that we do, we are to do it from love. The writings of the apostles, and disciples of Jesus are replete with the call to love others.
The kind of love called for by this royal law is love that puts everyone on an equal level. No one is greater than anyone else. Everyone gets what they need. There is no lack, or wanting. Everybody is treated right.
But, this law is only truly fulfilled when all believers are obeying the royal law. When we truly love others, as we love ourselves we will be doing what is right in the sight of God. We must learn to put others before ourselves, their needs, cares, joys and their struggles. When theirs, become ours we will be obeying the royal law.
