Cloud Shadows a poem

Cloud Shadows

Cloud shadows drift across the desert floor

Floating shade moving along

I watch them dance from my lofty perch

Scanning the horizon, painted desert hues

Resting in the shadow of an ancient volcano

The panorama below is stunning to say the least

A rugged landscape expansive and majestic

The Almighty’s artistry unfurled before me

Wanting to wait for sunset, but needing to move along

Rising to leave I imagine the sky blue pink, red, and orange that will repaint this scene at day’s end

Blessed by the beauty, enthralled by HIS creation

I leave inspired
