Antelope Canyon a poem

Antelope Canyon

The place where water runs through rocks

Sandstone beauty

Her variegated hues gracing Navajo land

Wind and rain doing their duty

Delicate beauty washed by vicious torrents

Smoothed by the hand of God

Once a place where no man trod

Now wayfaring travelers plod

Carved by the finger of the Almighty

His artistry on display

Surrounded by grazing lands

Where the cattle lay

A wondrous spectacle to behold

Stimulating the senses

Touching smooth yet, rough rock

Eyes take it in the light the sun dispenses

Ears attuned to gentle breezes

Whistling through

The scent of dust in the air

Grit in your teeth too

An experience like no other

This desert Jewel

The place where water runs through
