It is written…“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Walking in the light, sounds like the place I want to walk. Jesus walked in the light of His Father that is light. John calls us to walk in the light and enjoy the fellowship that is in the light. This thought of walking in the light should draw us out of the darkness. Because, to remain in the darkness is to remain separated from our Lord.
Fellowship with the Father, Son and forgiveness of sin should be great motivators to walk in the light. If not, it may be time for a serious reevaluation of our spiritual situation. If we continue to wander in darkness, we will become lost in that darkness.
Where are you walking today? Is your path illuminated or shadowed? Are you ready to turn back to the light, and walk in it? As always, it is a choice. An eternal choice. Which will you choose this day?
