“I Stood On The Shore” a poem

IMG_0334

I Stood On The Shore

I stood on the shore

In a place I’d never been before

Standing, watching, and listening contemplating the vastness

To swim it, would be madness

The lake was long and wide

Miles from side to side

The water a shimmering green

Quite a majestic scene

Blowing sand, there I stand

Seeking the guidance of HIS hand

Should I go forward, or remain

and  status quo retain

Moving forward, toward HIM

One step at a time I begin

Leaving the shore, going inland

I will trust myself to HIS guiding hand

I left the shore

Ready to explore
