“Between Two Thieves”

Dramatic religious photo illustration of Good Friday and Easter Sunday Morning reflecting a prayerful moment of silence with a silhoutted person bowing his head, a warm sunrise rises over a foggy lake, and three crosses on a hill reflected in the water as well.

“Between Two Thieves”

There he hung between heaven and earth

Those that hung him there did not know his worth

Those closest to him watched in fear

As the end drew ever near

Between two thieves is where he was placed

The Son of God there effaced

Satan thought he had won

But God’s redemptive plan had now begun

One thief jeered

The other feared

The one that feared knew HIS worth

The one that jeered remained cursed

The one that feared was promised paradise

The one that jeered succumbed to his vice

Innocent blood was shed that day

Blood that washed my sins away

He cried aloud and passed away

But in the grave he didn’t stay, He rose again on the third day

Satan did not win, he suffered loss

Because the Son of God died on that cross

The God of heaven kept his word that day

His Son died to make the way

Salvation’s work was done

The offspring of Eve had won
