Sphere of influence

the speck

How broad is our sphere of influence? Why do we feel the need to point out the faults of individuals, and entities we are not even in direct contact with, when we struggle to maintain self-control? So often we feel the need to show others where they are wrong, while never taking into consideration the wrong we commit while doing so. I think Jesus said something about this; “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” Perhaps its time to listen to the master. I think I’d rather he call me “good and faithful servant”, than “You Hypocrite”, or even worse… “I never knew you”
